1. Do not leave your vehicle unattended unless you are parked in a designated parking spot.
2. Students may be dropped off at either the backdoor or the front door along the east side of the building.
3. Vehicles must be next to the curb to drop off students.
4. Please have your children ready to exit the vehicle. Before you reach the drop off area, have backpacks on, coats zipped, and hugs and kisses done so children are ready to leave the vehicle. Waiting to do all this at the drop off area really slows down the car lane.
5. When picking up students, continue to pull up as far as you can. If there is a gap between you and the car in front of you, pull forward before your child gets into your vehicle.
6. Right turns only exiting our parking lot.
7. Please model the Pillars of Character. Our children look up to us and learn how to act by how we act. Our adults on duty after school are there to keep everyone safe. Please respect the work they are doing for all our children.

On January 9, the School Board approved several adjustments to the 2012-2013 school calendar.  The start of school was moved from August 13 to August 15, 2012.  The scheduled last day of school moved from May 22 to May 23.  Spring break was set for March 15-22, 2013.  Dates for back-to-school nights and P/T conferences are not yet finalized and are will be updated on the calendar at a later date. Kindergarten registration forms for the Ankeny Community Schools 2012-2013 school year are now available on the web.  Registration will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 2, 2012.  If you have a child who will be five years of age on or before September 15, 2012, please plan to attend the kindergarten registration at your neighborhood attendance center.  Learn more about kindergarten registration here...

The winter edition of Ankeny Advance is now available.  Ankeny Advance is published in .pdf format and requires the free Adobe Reader to view.  The fall edition is also mailed each year, with the winter and spring editions distributed electronically.
